Privacy policy

This statement explains how we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable national regulations.

1. Processing of personal data

1.1. Business contacts with customers and suppliers

If you work for a company with which we have a business relationship, we process the data necessary to conclude and execute contracts. This regularly includes name, work telephone number, e-mail address and company address.

On the basis of our legitimate interest, this information may also be used to maintain the business relationship. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required.

1.2. Applications

In the context of job applications, we process the data provided in the documents (e.g. name, contact information, education, professional experience). Occasionally, publicly available information (e.g. from LinkedIn) is also taken into account.

Legal basis: The legal basis for the processing is the initiation of a possible contractual relationship (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Application documents will be deleted after the selection process has been completed, unless consent has been given to their storage for more than 7 months after the application (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

For certain items, an extract from the criminal record may be required, but this will not be stored.

1.3. Visitors to our locations

When you enter our buildings, we record your name, company, time of visit and the business area visited. This serves organizational and security-related purposes.

Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required.

Certain areas are equipped with video surveillance and marked accordingly. Recordings are used exclusively for the prevention and investigation of crimes, are stored for a maximum of 30 days and are only passed on to the police if necessary.

1.4. Use of the Website

If you agree, our website uses cookies to improve user-friendliness and to carry out statistical evaluations. For details, please refer to our cookie banner and the information below.

Basically, if you have consented to the setting of these cookies, this website uses the “Google Analytics” service, which is offered by Google LLC in the USA. This is a web analysis service. Google uses the collected data to track and examine the use of this application, to compile reports on its activities and to share them with other Google services. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. If you fill out our contact form, we will process your details (name, email, country of origin, subject) to respond to your request. The legal basis is usually Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest), or, if applicable, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal obligation). The storage period depends on the content of the request.

2. Disclosure of data

As a matter of principle, we do not pass on personal data to external controllers. In individual cases, however, there may be legal obligations (e.g. reporting side effects to authorities).

In addition, we use service providers in the field of IT or order processing who process data exclusively according to our instructions and on the basis of contractual agreements.

3. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights, among others:

• Information about stored data,
• Correction of inaccurate data,
• Deletion, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary,
• restriction of processing,
• Object to certain processing,
• Data portability.

Whether and to what extent a right can be asserted in an individual case depends on the respective situation.
If you believe that your rights have been violated, you can contact the competent data protection supervisory authority.
